The perimeter is the distance around fence. So, the perimeter of the fence is

the sum of the lengths of all four sides.

The perimeter P of a rectangle is given by the formula,

Where L is the length and is W is the width of the rectangle.

The perimeter P of a rectangle is

(Substitute L = 200 and W = 150)

(Add: 200 + 150 = 350)

(Multiply: )

Total cost of the fence = Rate x Perimeter

Cost                     (Substitute Rate = 10 and Perimeter = 700)

(Multiply: )

Total cost of the fence is \$7000

Total cost of the fence is \$7000.
