                             The converse is true.

The inverse of the statement is

Inverse:               If plants do not have water, then they will not grow.

                             The inverse is true.

The contrapositive of the statement is

Contrapositive:  If plants do not grow, then they do not have water.

                            The contrapositive is false because the plants will also be killed by over watering.
