The functions are f (x) = 2x - 1 and g (x) = 3x ^2 + 11x - 4.

To find (f + g)(x) = f (x) + g (x)

= 2x - 1 + 3x ^2 + 11x - 4

= 3x ^2 + 13x - 5.

(f + g)(x) = 3x ^2 + 13x - 5.

To find (f - g)(x) = f (x) - g (x)

= 2x - 1 - (3x ^2 + 11x - 4)

= 2x - 1 - 3x ^2 - 11x + 4

= - 3x ^2 - 9x + 3.

(f - g)(x) = - 3x ^2 - 9x + 3.
