How do I determine if this ordered pair (0,2) is a solution of the following equation:

-3X + Y = -2? Thanks in advance.

Given equation is -3x + y = - 2

= 0 and y  = 2

-3(0) + (2) = - 2

0 + 2 = - 2

2 = - 2.

Above statement is false.

So,(0, 2) is not a solution of -3x + y = - 2.
