In this case given three different equations in standard form ax + by = c.

Now solve the equations for y that is slope intercept form of a line y = mx + b

Where m is slope and b is y intercept.

  • First equation is 2x + 3y = 6

Subtract 2x from each side.

3y = -2x + 6

Divide each side by 3.

y = (-2/3)x + 2

  • Second equation is 3x + 4y = 12

Subtract 3x from each side.

4y = - 3x + 12

Divide each side by 4.

y = (-3/4)x + 3

  • Third equation is x - 2y = 8

Subtract x from each side.

- 2y = - x + 8

Divide each side by negative 2.

y = (1/2)x - 4
