Solve -6.(x+5)^2 = 120.

- 6.(x + 5)^2 = 120

Divide each side by negative 6.

(x + 5)^2 = - 20

Substitute  the value - 1 = i2.

(x + 5)^2 = 20i2

Extract squareroots.

x+ 5 = ± sqrt(20)i

Subtract 5 from each side.

x = - 5 ± sqrt(20)i.

Solution x = - 5 ± sqrt(20)i.
