Graphing absolute value functions using winplot. 

Example:   f(x) = |x 3|

Make a Table

1.        Launch winplot application from your computer.

2.        Once the program is opened, choose window, 2-dim.

3.        Go to View, and then choose Grid.

4. Go to Equa, and then choose Explicit.

Enter f(x) = abs(x-3), pen width = 3 and color = pink as shown below and Click OK.

5. Go to Equa, and then choose point.

Enter the first table value (x, y) = (-2, 5), dot size = 5 and color = blue and Click OK.

Next plot other points in the table.

6. You can edit the colors edit function available in the inventory.

Go to Equa, and then choose Inventory.

7. Before capturing final plot set the view corners (optional)

Go to View, and then choose View

8. Finally capture the graph of absolute value function f(x) = |x 3|
