cot(x) /[(1 + sin(x)]

Quotient Identities: cot(θ) = cos(θ)/sin(θ).

[cos(x)/sin(x)]/[1 + sin(x)]

The Rules of exponentiation are: [a/b]/[c/d] = ad/bc

cos(x)/[sin(x)(1 + sin(x))]

Distribute terms using distributive property:  a( b + c) = ab + ac

cos(x)/[sin(x) + sin2(x)]
