3x-y=2 -----------> y = 3x - 2
substitute y = 3x - 2 in 5x-2y=6
5x - 2(3x-2)=6
5x - 6x + 4 = 6
-x + 4 = 6
x=-2
substitute x=-2 in y = 3x - 2
y=3*-2 - 2
y = -6 - 2 = -8
(x, y) = (-2, -8)

substitute y = 3x - 2 in 5x-2y=6
5x - 2(3x-2)=6
5x - 6x + 4 = 6
-x + 4 = 6
x=-2
substitute x=-2 in y = 3x - 2
y=3*-2 - 2
y = -6 - 2 = -8
(x, y) = (-2, -8)

solution is (-2,-8).
