The inequality is 3x - 5 > 10 and solve for x.

Add 5 to each side.

3x - 5 + 5 > 10 + 5

3x > 15

Divide each side by 3.

3x/3 > 5*3/3

x > 5.

The solution set is { x | x > 5} and its graph is

Note : A circle means that this point is not included in the solution set.
