surface area of sphere is s=4pir^2

Substitute 16 pi sq-in. for s

4pir^2=16pi

r^2=4

r=2 in.

Formula for volume of the sphere is V=(4/3)pir^3

Substitute 2 in. for r

V=(4/3)pi(2)^3

   =(4/3)pi(2)^3

    =32/3 pi in.^3
