Slope of the given line is 1

The slope of the perpendicular line = -1.

(x1,y1) = (-7,1).

The equation of perpendicular line is,

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-1= -1(x+7)

y-1 = -x-7

x + y +6 =0

So the required equation of the perpendicular line is, x+y +6=0
