Giiven polynomial 7x^2-4x+12+3x^3

we able to wrte in order.

3x^3+7x^2-4x+12

x+1 is a divisor.

x+1 = 0

Subtract 1 from each side.

x+1-1 = 0-1

x = -1

By synthetic division

     image

(7x^2-4x+12+3x^3)/(x+1) then the quotient is 3x^2+4x-8 and remainder is 20.
