Let rectangle width = x cm

Length of rectangle = 3x

Perimeter of rectangle 2(l+b) = 46

2(x+3x) = 46

2(4x) = 46

Divide to each side by 8.

8x/8 = 46/8

x = 5.75

3x = 3(5.75) = 17.25

Dimensions of rectangle is 5.75cm and 17.25cm.
