Given right triangle opposite side = a

hypotenuse = 14

Adjacent side = 8

From pythageron therom

(hypotenuse)^2  = (opposite side)^2+(adjacent side)^2

196 = a^2+64

Subtract 64 from each side.

196-64 = a^2+64-64

132 = a^2

Apply squre root on each side.

a = √132

a = 11.48
