Write the prime factorization of each denominator.

198 = 2 * 3 * 3 * 11 = 2 * 32 * 11

143 = 11 * 13

Multiply highest power of each factor in the either number.

L.C.D = 2 * 32 * 11 * 13

        = 2574.

Therefore, L.C.D of 5/198 and 9/143 is 2574.
