solve by substitution or elimination.

Given equations 8x+2y = 12 ---> (1)

4x+y = 11

multiple to each side by 2.

8x+2y = 22 ---> (2)

Observe the two lines are parallel.

Parallel lines are does not intersect.

In this case no solution.
