cosine angle a!!!!!!!

In a right triangle, the side adjacent angle a is 12, the hypotenuse is 24. what is the tangent of the angle a?

12 is the adjacent side (it is adjacent to angle a), 24 the hypotenuse, and a is the given angle

Cos(a): adjacent leg/ hypotenuse = 12/24 = 1/2

Trigonometry table in cos60° = 1/2

So, cos(a) = cos60°

a = 60°

The tangent of the angle a is 60°.
