The equation is x3 + 2x2 - 15x - 36 = 0.

By factor by grouping.

x3 + 2x2 - 15x - 36 = 0

x3 - 4x2 + 6x2 - 15x - 36 = 0

x2(x - 4) + [6x2 - 24x + 9x - 36] = 0

x2(x - 4) + [6x(x - 4) + 9(x - 4)] = 0

x2(x - 4) + [(x - 4)(6x + 9)] = 0

Factor : (x - 4)(x2 + 6x + 9) = 0

(x - 4)(x + 3)2 = 0.
