(- 7a + k) - (- 8a + 12)

If is divisible by

By division algorthim the remainder is zero.

Therfore. (- 7a + k) - (- 8a + 12) = 0

-7a + k + 8a - 12 = 0

a - 12 + k = 0

Therfore k = - a + 12.
