3|x – 5| > 21

Divide each side by 3.

3|x – 5|/3 > 21/3

|x – 5| >7

±(x – 5) > 7

(x – 5) > 7

x >12

- (x – 5) > 7

(x – 5)  < - 7

x < -2

Solution is x < -2 or x >12

The graph is

Circle means not include the point.
