The equation is 2/(x-3) = - x/(x² - 9) + 4/(x + 3) and solve for x.

2/(x-3) = - x/(x² - 9) + 4/(x + 3)

2/(x-3) = [ - x + 4(x - 3)]/(x² - 9)

2/(x-3) = [ - x + 4x - 12]/[(x - 3)(x + 3)]

2 = [ 3x - 12]/(x + 3)

2(x+3) = 3x - 12

2x+6 = 3x - 12

6 + 12 = 3x - 2x

18 = x

The value of x = 18.
