10)

y = ( x³ + 1 )²

Apply derivative both sides with respect to x.

dy/dx = (d/dx) ( x³ + 1 )²

Apply formula : (d/dx)[ f(x) ]² = 2f(x) (d/dx)[ f(x) ]

= 2( x³ + 1 ) (d/dx) ( x³ + 1 )

Apply formulaa : (d/dx)[x³] = 3x²  and (d/dx)[k] = 0.

= 2( x³ + 1 ) ( 3x² )

= 6x²( x³ + 1 )

Solution : Option (e) is the Correct Choice.

Number of items produced = x

Revenue = 12x

Cost Price = 4x

Fixed Cost = $ 3000

Condition at the Break-even point  :   Revenue = Cost Price + Fixed Cost

12x = 3000 + 4x

12x – 4x = 3000

8x = 3000

x = 375

Solution : Option (c) is the Correct Choice.
