Expanding in math............?

(x-y)(x^2-12xy+20y^2)

(x - y)(x2 - 12xy + 20y2)
 

Use the Distributive Property:
= x(x2 - 12xy + 20y2) - y(x2 - 12xy + 20y2)

 

Use the Distributive Property twice more:
= x3 - 12x2y + 20xy2 - x2y + 12xy2 - 20y3

Combine like terms:
= x3 - 13x2y + 32xy2 - 20y3
