Step 1:

Observe the circuit.

The resistance image and image are connected in parallel.

Equivalent resistance : image.

Parallel equivalent resistance : image.

Step 2:

The resistance image and image are connected in parallel.

Equivalent resistance : image.

image

Parallel equivalent resistance : image.

Step 3:

Redraw the circuit replacing resistors image and image.

image

Now apply source transformation to convert current source in parallel to resistor R to voltage source in series with the resistor R.

Voltage across the resistor image is image.

image

Redraw the circuit using source transformation.

image

Voltage across the parallel network is same, hence image.

Since image, the voltage across the terminal A and B is image.

Solution:

Voltage across the terminal A and B is image.

Step 4:

The total resistance of the circuit is image.

Find the current flowing in the circuit.

Current flowing in the circuit is image.

image

Current flowing in the circuit is image.

Find the voltage across the A and B.

Voltage across A and B is the voltage drop across the image resistor.

Voltage drop across the image resistor : image.

image

Since , the voltage across the terminal A and B is image V.

Solution:

Voltage across the terminal A and B is image V.
