A skier traveling 11.0 m/s reaches the foot of a steady upward 20 ∘ incline and glides 14 m up along this slope before coming to rest.

Step 1:

Skier is travelling with a speed of m/s.

Inclination angle is .

Skier glides m along the slope.

After some time the person comes to rest, hence final velocity is zero.

Here the negative sign indicates that the object is slowing down.

Therefore, accerlation is 4.32 m/sec².
