Composite figure: A figure (or shape) that can be divided into more than one of the basic figures is said to be a composite figure.

Draw a composite figure using three basic figures.

One of the figure is circle.

Let us assume all the dimensions are in centimeters.

Note: The area of the composite region is the area of the shaded region.

The composite figure consist of one circle, a rectangle and a right angled triangle.

Area of the composite figure is sum of area of rectangle and triangle excluding area of the circle.
