cos A = cos 2A + cos 4A

0 degrees < or = A < or = 360 degrees

Given that cosA = cos2A + cos4A

It is in the form of cosc + cosd = cos(c+d)/2cos(c-d)/2

Bring all the terms to one side

Take cosA common

Therefore the required angles are
