Given that

The base of a pyramid is a square whose sides = 12cm

The height of each triangular face of the pyramid = 15 cm

Perimeter of the base (square) = 4 X 12 = 48

Surface area of the pyramid  =  (Perimeter of the base / 2) X Slant Height  + Area of the Base

Substitute corresponding values

Surface area of the pyramid  =  (48 / 2) X 15 + (12^2)

                                              =  (24) X 15 + 144

                                              =  360 + 144

                                              =  504 cm^2

Answer :

Surface area of the pyramid  is 504 cm^2.
