x/3-x/2 = (x-4)/6

(2x-3x)/6 = (x-4)/6

-x/6 = (x-4)/6

Multiple to each side by 6.

-6x/6 = 6(x-4)/6

-x = x-4

Subtract to each side by x

-x-x = x-x-4

-2x = -4

Divide to each side by negitive 2.

-2x/-2 = -4/-2

x = 2

Solution x = 2.
