Standard equation of ellipse x^2/b^2+y^2/a^2 = 1

Where a > b.

Eccentricity of ellipse = √[1-(b^2/a^2)]

Given equation x^2/18+y^2/30 = 1

Here a^2 = 30, b^2 = 18

Eccentricity = √[1-18/30]

= √[1-0.6]

= √0.4

= 0.632

Eccentricity of given ellipse= 0.632.
