Given

25 : 4x = x : 4

25 / 4x = x / 4

Crossmultiplication.

25 * 4 = 4 x

100 = 4 x ^2

25 = x ^2

√25 = x

± 5 = x

Therefore x = ±5.

Solution : The value of a x is ±5.
