The expression is [w^2/(w + 3)] - [9/(w + 3)].

Least common factor of (w + 3) and (w + 3) is (w + 3).

[w^2/(w + 3)] - [9/(w + 3)] = (w^2 - 9) / (w + 3)

Apply formula : (a^2 - b^2) = (a + b)(a - b).

= (w + 3)(w - 3) / (w + 3)

= w - 3.

Therefore, [w^2/(w + 3)] - [9/(w + 3)] = w - 3.
