Diameter of the circle (d) = 48 cm.

Radius of the circle (r) = d / 2 = 48 / 2 = 24 cm.

Area of the circle (A) = πr2.

Substitute the values of π = 3.14 and r = 24 in A = πr2.

A = 3.14 * 242

   = 3.14 * 576

   =  1808.64  cm2.

Area of the circle is 1808.64  cm2.
