Given line slope m1= -4

Slope of perpendicular line to the given line = m2

m1m2 = -1

-4m2 = -1

Apply division property,divide by 4 to each side.

-4/4m2 = -1/4

m2 = 1/4

Equation to line passing (2,2) ⇒y-2 =m2(x-2)

y-2 = 1/4(x-2)

y-2 = x/4-1/2

Apply addition property, add 2 to each side.

y-2+2 = x/4-1/2+2

Equation to required line y = x/4+3/2
