1) Identify the slope-intercept form of the equation of a line which contains the points (–2, –1) and (3, 4).
y = –x + 1
y = x – 1
y = x + 1
y = –x – 1
2) Use the table below to find how many hours it would take to travel 455 miles at a constant rate.
HOURS 3 5 8 11 15
MILES 210 350 560 770 1050
6 hours
6.2 hours
6.5 hours
7 hours
3) Identify the equation of the graph.

y = |x| + 4
y = |x| – 4
y = |x + 4|
y = |x – 4|
4) Identify the equation of the graph.
y > 1/3 x – 1
y < 1/3 x – 1
y > 3x – 1
y < 3x – 1
5) Identify the number of solutions for the systems of equations below.
2x – y = 7
2y = 4x + 16

Line standerd form is y-y1 = m(y-y1)      and m = y2-y1/x2-x1

1) line equation throgh (-2,-1) = (x1,y1)

(3,4) = (x2,y2)

y-(-1) = [4-(-1)]/[3-(-2)] [x-(-2)]

y+1 = [(4+1)/(3+2)] (x+2)

y+1 = 5/5 (x+2)

y = x+2-1

y = x+1

option 3 is correct answer.

2)Distance =Rate*Time

Find the Rate from given table

T =3, D = 210miles

Rate = D/T

Rate = 210/3

Rate = 70

D = 455 miles,R =70 then T =D/R

T = 455/70

T = 6.5 hours

Option 3 is correct answer.

5)2x-y = 7 --------------(1)

2y = 4x+16

4x-2y+16 = 0

apply divisible property, divide by 2 to each side.

2x-y+8 = 0

2x-y = -8 --------- (2)

From (1) and (2) LHS are equal.

So RHS are -8 = 7

This is not possible.

So the system has no solution.
