Q and R are supplementary

<Q = 4x + 9 and <R = 8x + 3

Q and R are supplementary

 i.e  <Q + <R = 180

Than 4x+9+8x+3 = 180

Simplfy

4x + 8x + 9 + 3 = 180

12x + 12 = 180

Subtract 12 from each side.

12x + 12 - 12 = 180 - 12

Simplfy

12x = 168

Divide each side by 12

12x / 12 = 168 / 12

x = 14

Substitute x = 3 in the <Q and <R

<Q = 4 ( 14 ) + 9

=56+9

=65

<R= 8( 14 ) + 3

=112+3

=115

There fore

Measure of angle Q is 65

And measure of angle R is 115.
