1. Direct variation equation is y = kx, where k is constant of proportionality.

Substitute the known values and find the constant value.

10 = k *5

k = 2

The constant is k = 2.

2. In-direct variation equation is y = k/x, where k is constant of proportionality.

Substitute the known values and find the constant value.

10 = k/5

k = 50

The constant of proportionality is k = 50.
