Given equation 10g+12-2g = 6g

Subtract 6g from each side.

10g+12-2g-6g = 6g-6g

10g+12-8g = 0

2g+12= 0

Subtract 12 from each side.

2g+12-12 = 0-12

2g = -12

Divide to each side by 2.

2g/2 = -122

Solution g = -6.
