The point is (- 2, 3) and the equation of line is - x - 3y = - 15.

Rewrite the equation - x - 3y = - 15 in the slope - intercept form : y = mx + b,  where m is slope and b is y - intercept.

- x - 3y = - 15

- 3y = - 15 + x

y = (- 15/-3) + (x /-3)

y = (- 1/3)x + 5.

Therefore, slope of given line is - 1/3.

Because the slopes of perpendicular lines are negative reciprocals, the slope of perpendicular line through (- 2, 3) is 3/1 (or) 3.

To find the y - intercept of perpendicular line, substitute the values of

(x, y) = (- 2, 3) and m = 3 in the slope - intercept from: y = mx + b and solve for b.

3 = 3(- 2) + b

3 = -6 + b

b - 6 = 3

b = 3 + 6 = 9.

Substitute the values of m = 3 and b = 9 in the slope - intercept form of equation

y = mx + by = 3x + 9.

The equation of perpendicular line is y = 3x + 9.
