The equation is 3x + 5y = 5 and the ordered pair is (5, - 2).

Substitute the values of (x, y) = (5, - 2) in 3x + 5y = 5.

3(5) + 5(- 2) = 5

15 - 10 = 5

5 = 5.

The above statement is true, so (5, - 2) is a solution of 3x + 5y = 5.
