3n - 5 = 58 - 6n

Add 6n  and 5 to each side.

3n - 5 + 5 + 6n  = 58 - 6n + 5 + 6n

9n  = 63

Divide each side by 9.

9n /9 = 63/9

Solution = 7.

Check :

3n - 5 = 58 - 6n

3(7) - 5 = 58 - 6(7)

21 - 5 = 58 - 42

16 = 16.
