(2x^6 + 3x^2 + 9) + (3x^2 + x + 8)

= 2x^6 + 3x^2 + 9 + 3x^2 + x + 8

= 2x^6 + 6x^2 + x + 17

(2x^6 + 3x^2 + 9) + (3x^2 + x + 8) = 2x^6 + 6x^2 + x + 17.
