Given line  = -3x /4 - 2

Compare it to slope intercept form y  = mx + b  ---> (1).

Here m represents slope and is intercept of y.

Slope of given line = -3/4.

We know that parallel lines have equal slope.

Slope of parallel line = -3/4.

And given y  intercept is 5.

Plug the values in equation (1).

Required line equation y = -3x /4 + 5.
