(x- 2)^2 = 4y.

Divide each sid eby 4.

f(x) = y = (x- 2)^2/4.

Let

f(x) = y = (x- 2)^2/4 = 0

(x- 2)^2/4 = 0

Multiply 4 to each side.

(x- 2)^2 = 0

Extract square roots.

x - 2 = 0

Add 2 to each side.

x = 2.

Solution of the function f(x) is 2.

Check :

Substitute x = 2 in y = (x- 2)^2/4.

y = 0.

The statement is true.So,x = 2 is the solution.
