Given

The Trapezoid with bases ( b₁ ) = 10 inches.

                                         ( b₂ ) =14 inches.

                                         height ( h ) = 5 inches.

The area of the Trapezoid = 1/2 ( b₁ + b₂ ) h -------- > ( 1 )

Substitute the values in eq ( 1 ).

The area of the Trapezoid = 1/2 ( b₁ + b₂ ) h.

                                          =1/2 (10 + 14 ) 5

                                          =1/2 * 24 * 5

                                          =60.

The area of the Trapezoid = 60 (inch)2 .
