Greatest common factor is greatest number that divides both the numbers without a remainder.

Find the prime factors of each number

20 = 1 * 2 * 2 * 5

70 = 1 * 2 * 5 * 7

The common factors are 1, 2, and 5.

The greatest common factor = 1 * 2 * 5 = 10.
