Effective magnetic moment µ = 1.65×10^1 A m^2
The maximum possible torque on the magnet due to the earth's field
τ = µ B
Where B =5.00×10^5 T
τ
=1.65×10 1× 5.00×10 -5  = 8.25 x 10^-4 N m
