The point P lies in the rectangular coordinate system and its coordinates P = (x, y).

The point P lies in the polar coordinate system and its coordinates P = (r, θ).

The relation between rectangular coordinate system and polar coordinate system as follows:

x = r cos(θ), y = r sin(θ) and r2 = x2 + y2.

The polar equation is 0 = r2 + r sin(θ).

The rectangular equation is 0 = x2 + y2 + y.

The option 4 is correct answer.
