The given function is image

It can be further simplified as follows 

image

So f(x) = x - 9

Zero of a function can be defined as the function where equals to zero .

So in order to find out zero's make f(x) =0

x - 9 = 0

x = 9

So the given function has a zero at x = 9

We can verify the position zero by observing the below graph.

The function has a zero at x = 9
